Introducing...

Reference Plus High Definition Links

The newest iteration of our very popular High Definition Links.  These are unique, ultra-fast high frequency filter networks that use special proprietary high-speed, nude components to remove RFI, EMI and distortion from the music signal.  Freed of noise and distortion, your speakers will reproduce the music with much more clarity, dynamics, transparency, focus, speed and soundstaging.  You will hear more information without grit or glare.

The new Reference Plus HDLs use ultra-precise components,

are fully shielded, and all wiring and spades are ultra-pure silver. The Reference HDLS are subjected to a slow-immersion cryogenic treatment and then precisely matched in pairs. The results are absolute phenomenal. You will never know what your system can sound like until you try them.

See High Definition Links page for more information.   HDLs Mark IIIs also available. See more

Application Tip: For high-end surround sound video systems, use Reference HDLs on the main speakers and the new Mark IIIs on the surround speakers. The results are absolutely remarkable. You'll feel like you've stepped into the action!

You will never know what your system can sound like until you try them!

High Definitions Links prevent very high frequency electronic noises (which are emitted from all electronics) and RFI from being transmitted to your speakers.  They eliminate the unwanted noise from the signal path, while allowing the pure music signal to pass through unaffected.

The music will become more natural sounding.  The electronic glare will disappear.  The sound stage will open up to become better focused, more transparent.  Harmonics will be cleaner, clearer and the dynamics will be faster and sharper, without harshness.

High Definition Links MARK III

The new High Definition Mark IIIs are a major improvement over the Mark IIs and we believe even better than the old Ultimate HDLs.

(Ultimate HDLs have been discontinued and replaced by Reference HDLs.)

If you have the older model Mark IIs or Ultimate/References, you should consider trying the new Mark IIIs or new References.  We believe you will be impressed.

All parts in the High Definition Links are designed and built to proprietary specifications for Walker Audio.  The wiring and the spade connectors are ultra pure silver.  The components are encased in a wood enclosure to protect the components and minimize the dielectric effect and are shielded with special EMI/RFI conductive copper tape.

APPLICATION TIP:

HDLs are great to use on high-end surround sound video systems. We recommend using the Reference HDL on the main speakers and the new HDL Mark IIIs on the surround speakers. The results are absolutely remarkable. You will feel as if you are part of the action!

INSTALLATION: Please read carefully.  Correct installation is critical.

Installation is very simple.  High Definition Links install in parallel with your speaker cables at your speakers and are placed between the speaker cables and the binding post nut.  (Not between the speaker cable and the speaker.)

It is important to note the polarity: red to red, black to black.  Do not let the copper body come in contact with the speaker cables or the binding post.  If necessary, use paper tape – not electrical tape- to isolate the HDL body from the bare binding post.  It will sound best if you position the HDL so that the leads extend up or down from the binding posts and the body is as far away from the binding posts as possible.

IMPORTANT NEW FINDING:

HDLs will sound best if you position the HDL so that the leads extend up or down from the binding posts with the lead side of the spade facing the speaker and the body as far away from the binding posts as possible.

HDLs come with instructions and diagrams for bi-wired speakers with and without jumpers.

Biwireable Speakers – Using one set of speaker cables with jumpers:  You will need one pair of HDLs and one pair of jumpers. The jumper wire is critical. We recommend our Walker Audio Silver Jumpers. They are cryogenically-treated ultra-pure silver solid-core jumpers. Your ears will love you.

Biwired and Tri-wired Speakers:  One HDL required for each speaker cable.

Speakers With External Crossovers:  If possible, install at the speaker.

Subwoofers:  Benefit dramatically.

That’s it.  Allow twenty hours play time for the High Definition Links to break in properly.

WARRANTY

The High Definition Links come with a two-year parts and labor warranty against defects.
