with optional Dedicated Stand - highly recommended. Optional
power cord also available. Stan
Ricker, highly-regarded LP recording engineer, uses the Velocitor Power
Line Enhancer in his mastering system.
"The difference that the “Big
V” makes in the quietness of my Mastering System is astounding! I have
all my Digital Gear powered thru it, and the
“Digital Black” is truly now “Digital Quiet”!!!
With no signal going thru or coming
from any of the digit-gear, I can crank the Monitor
Gain all the way up and hear NO NOISE AT ALL!
Just like a totally Shorted
Input-----AMAZING." Stan Ricker
Stan
is well known for his keen hearing and attention to details that some
others do not understand. "The difference is in the details,"
says Stan. He has cut many highly regarded
LPs for Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, Crystal Clear, Telarc, Delos,
Reference Recordings, Windham Hill, Stereophile, and roughly a dozen
other labels, including recent work for Analogue Productions and
AcousTech Mastering. He is currently the Owner/Engineer Of SRM. For

"...there
must be an infinite number of gauzy curtains being reproduced along with
the music, because another couple has disappeared. The sound stage has
opened up further deepened, and the individual musicians have taken on
more body...
Video also is markedly improved. With my Electrohome 9500LC
projector running at 1080P on a ten foot screen, the brightness and
contrast controls can be set 4 notches lower for the same light output,
the image is more three dimensional and saturated...For me, the
Velocitor S is the way to go...one hell of a lot of musical and video
enjoyment...money well spent."

"...the
Velocitor excels at speed, dynamics, jump factor and release...increased
focus, clarity and soundstage size...That's typical Walker - to improve
something you were already perfectly happy with. "
"..It
seemed as though the whole audio system had become a very transparent
window. I could
clearly see the colors and motions of every outside object. The sonic
panorama was vividly portrayed with front-to-back layering, each musical
object positively settled into its respective virtual space. This
improvement in imaging was not of the freeze-framing type. Rather,
better definition and separation came by way of superior revelation of
musical textures as well as the elongation of harmonic decays. In the
climax when the electrifying guitar is intersecting with hi-hats, drums
and double bass, the wholeness of the musical scene and the coherence
and cooperation between the different players was resolved
and stable despite the lightning-fast transient energy jumping at me
from everywhere...."

"My
first impression of the Velocitor left me so startled that I was truly
bemused. It took me a while to realize what a significant step forward
from my old line conditioner the Velocitor was; don't be surprised if
you experience the same sense of audio vertigo the first time that you
put the Velocitor into your system...
I therefore award the Walker
Audio Velocitor system (with dedicated stand) and with Silent Source
power cables a "Ye Olde Editor's 'highly recommended,'" and
the Velocitor system (with dedicated stand) and with the Omega Mikro
active power cables a "Ye Olde Editor's 'very highest
recommendation.'" |

"You
said the upgrade from "S" to "ST" status would make
a bigger difference...but I wasn't prepared for the degree of
improvement. The music is now smoother and yet more detailed, as if a
scrim of haze has been removed without adding many extraneous
coloration. I'm surprised the upgrade hasn't received more attention in
the press or on the internet.
Before,
I thought the Velocitor was competitive with the best line conditioners
I've heard/owned....Now I think your newest Velocitor is the best I've
heard. ..." C

"...to
say that Velocitor is better (than the Hydra) is a gross
understatement...Only after using Velocitor I realized how much
distortion was passed to my ears in the past. There is unbelievable
sense of air, transparency and delicacy. There is new detail I never
heard before. Simply amazing!" SV

have the Velocitor and find it truly exceptional. Voices and brass are now

November 2003 by Martin DeWulf
"Over
the years I’ve used a number of parallel units. Coming to mind are units
from AudioPrism (Quiet Lines), Marigo, TG Audio, VansEvers and Quantum. On
hand presently is the finest parallel device I’ve ever heard, that being the
Lloyd Walker Velocitor..."

Anonymous Chapter 44
by Bill Gaw
"....The major change
is an inky black lack of audio noises all of the time...With six-channel SACD's, when the
recording starts one goes from dead silence to a sudden uncanny feeling that one
has been transported to the venue...transients are more natural and
quick...individual instruments become more three dimensional and life-like...
one can hear the shape of the piano and its position. I have never heard that
before on my system. ..
I have found that it makes the biggest difference
in my digital reproduction... For those videophiles among us, the units also
worked superbly at cleaning up my video signal... DVD's take on an almost
film-like three-dimensional quality with very vivid colors, and high definition
from DirecTV is stunning...
So is this unit at $533 per outlet better than the combination of
the Sound Application CF-X12 and the Quantum Products Symphony Pro combination
at $399 per outlet, and is any AC line treatment worth that much? Unhappily
for my bank account, yes... at least to me. Did I purchase the two units sent
me? Yes. Did I buy another one? You betcha!!"

"...Greater
acuteness of focus to enhance the illusion of physical presence.....
Much
to its credit, the Velocitor didn't add a gram of mass to the Furutech's
already well-endowed bass. Rather, its quicker transient trigger simply made
the bass more intelligible and articulate, rising faster and thus seemingly
endowed with more impact...
terms
like 'elegant', 'smooth', 'sonorous', 'velvety', 'majestic' and 'oceanic'
chummed up to the pen...The Walker also created a sense of no-ceiling
expanse...by letting sounds rise upward and exhale...this Veloci(rap)tor
rules! "
